BUSINESS HISTORY

 

REAL ESTATE-MORTGAGE BROKER                        September 2000 – Present

Affiliated with Re/Max Realty and National Financial as a Real Estate and Mortgage Broker representing buyers, sellers and property owners in residential real estate and mortgage financing transactions.

 

VLDC TECHNOLOGIES, INC.                                        February 1999 – August 2000

Created sub prime wholesale division for this start up Internet mortgage lender.  Developed  and implemented action plan necessary to create a mortgage lending platform, including recruiting key underwriting, operations and production personnel.  Directly managed all loan production and secondary marketing activity.  Successfully managed transition through developmental and initial operational stages despite a merger and limited financial resources.  Elected to the Board of Directors in April 1999.  Elected to Subsidiary Corporation Board of Directors January 2000.  Company withdrew from the market August 2000.

 

UNICOR MORTGAGE, INC.                                               March 1997 - November 1998

 (The wholesale division of United Companies Financial Corp.)

Regional President recruited to open Unicor’s western United States mortgage origination operation.  Developed and implemented action plans necessary to create a mortgage production and operations platform that increased loan production to $20 million a month.  Organized, managed, and directed all production and operational tasks associated with a Regional Operations Center including personnel recruiting, training, product development, credit and production authority.  1998 production through October was $145 Million. 

 

FIRST FRANKLIN FINANCIAL CORPORATION         September 1995 - March 1997

Senior Vice President of Mortgage Operations.  Engineered and implemented the transition of FFFC’s lending platform from prime to sub prime lending.  Immediately developed action plan to improve loan quality and personally directed the sale of $50 million of impaired aging loans.  Developed training programs with department supervisors necessary to integrate existing staff to include the dual activities required for prime and sub prime lending. Assumed responsibility for credit policy, underwriting, asset quality, and loan sales. 

   

BURLINGAME FUNDING CORPORATION       1991 - 1995

President and co-owner of a regional wholesale sub prime mortgage lender.  Directed all recruiting, training, product development, production, underwriting and secondary marketing activities.  Grew company to over 20 employees, originating loans in four states.

 

FINANCIAL CENTER MORTGAGE                1991                     

Chief Executive Officer of the sub-prime mortgage division of The Financial Center Bank, N.A.  Chosen by the banks management to restructure company after 12 months of losses.  Working with the banks President, I developed and implemented a business plan that produced the first operating profit in over one year.  Negotiated the release of over $1 million being held by FDIC managed bank investor.

 

FINANCIAL CENTER MORTGAGE   1985 - 1991

Various production and operations management positions within Financial Center Mortgage including Senior Vice President, Operations and Regional Vice President, Production.  Developed service oriented training program resulting in increased productivity and improved moral.

 

Previous experience in the mortgage and real estate industry including retail and wholesale loan originations, sales management, FDIC insured Thrift & Loan and Savings & Loan President.
